Bates senior Ed Bogdanovich was selected First Team All-State, and first-year Mike Boornazian made the All-Rookie Team, as the Maine Men’s Basketball Coaches and Writers Association announced its year-end awards.
Bates first-year Mike Boornazian earned Rookie of the Week honors for the second straight week from the Maine Men’s Basketball Coaches and Writers Association, this time sharing Co-Rookie of the Week award with Chris Hudnut of Colby.
The Bates men’s basketball team made one of the top teams in Division III fight until the end to advance past them, as second-seeded Williams ended the Bobcats’ season with an 88-79 win in the quarterfinals of the NESCAC Men’s Basketball Championship on Saturday in Chandler Gym.
With the completion of the league schedule on Tuesday night, the Bates men’s basketball team learned their opponent will be Williams in the first round of the NESCAC Men’s Basketball Championship.
