2011: Named to the NESCAC Men’s Lacrosse All-Conference Second Team…. With three defenders being named to the All-NESCAC First and Second Teams, Helm was essentially recognized as one of the top six defenders in the conference…. Helm, a team captain, led the Bobcats in ground balls with 50. In the four games Bates played during season in which caused turnovers were recorded, Helm was credited with 13, eight more than any other player on the Bobcats…. Among his finest performances were collecting five ground balls in a 12-7 win over Wesleyan; six caused turnovers and four ground balls in a 9-5 loss to Connecticut College; and six ground balls and two caused turnovers in a 6-5 loss to Trinity…. Became Bates’ latest two-sport All-NESCAC athlete when he was named to the 2011 NESCAC Football All-Conference First Team Defense at linebacker.

2010: Played in 13 games, scoring one goal and adding 28 ground balls, ranking fift on the Bobcats in that category…. Credited with 12 caused turnovers, second-most on the team.

2009: Played in four games for the Bobcats and collected two ground balls.
