2011: Named to NESCAC Men’s Soccer All-Conference Second Team…. Led Bates with nine goals and four assists, the most points for a Bates player since the 2005 season, in spite of a frustrating season for the Bobcats, who went 4-10 and winless in NESCAC play, including seven one-goal losses. With opposing defenses generally geared toward stopping him and keeping the ball away from him, Murphy totaled  nine goals and four assists, for 22 points.

Murphy ranked second in the NESCAC this season in points per game (1.57); he was also third in goals per game (0.67) and tied for sixth in assists per game (0.29)…. Two-goal, two-assist performance in Bates’ win over Southern Maine.

2010: Started all 15 games for the Bobcats, finishing with three goals and a team-high four assists, ranking second on the team in points (10)…. Scored the lone goal in a 1-0 win over No. 5-ranked Middlebury.

2009: Started six of eight games played in before an injury…. Recorded two goals and two assists.

High School: All-New England selection in basketball…. Also a Maine All-State selection in basketball…. Captain of both soccer and basketball teams.
