Danilo Acosta

2007-2008: Co-captain…. Recipient of the Lindholm Scholar-Athlete Award…Was a two-time member of the NESCAC All-Academic team…. C Flight Singles champion and finalist in C Flight Doubles at the Middlebury Invitational in late September 2007…. Went 6-3, 6-2; 7-5, 6-1; and teamed up with Michael Reiss to win 8-3 in a doubles match against a Colby team at the Bowdoin Round Robin in September…. In an 8-1 win over MIT in March, Acosta and Zach Fenno teamed up to win at No. 2 doubles and were singles winners as well….. In Bates’ 9-0 victory over Brandeis in March, Reiss went 2-0 in singles and doubles…. Against Colby in March, Acosta teamed up with Fenno to win 8-6 at No. 2 doubles before winning at sixth singles…. At the College of New Jersey in April, Acosta battled back from being down 5-3 in the third set, fending off multiple match points to clinch the match in a 7-5, 5-7, 7-6 (4) thriller over the Lions’ Jonathan Yu at No. 6 singles.
