Maxwell Berger

2008-2009: Went 10-6 in singles, playing mostly at the number two spot, with wins against Wesleyan, Colby, Hamilton, Connecticut College, Williams, and Tufts. Went 9-7 in doubles at the number two position with partner Ryan Mannelly.

2007-2008: Advanced to the quarterfinals of Flight A with Ben Stein and won in the first round of the B Flight Singles of the Middlebury Invitational in September,  topping Bowdoin’s Matt Knise (6-0, 6-1)…. At ITA Championships in late September, Berger and Ryan Mannelly teamed up to defeat Braude/Whitter of UMass-Boston 8-3…. Made the Flight A doubles semifinals and advanced two rounds in the Flight A Singlesat the Wallach Invitational in October…. Bates went 9-0 against Babson in February; Berger teamed up with classmate Ryan Mannelly to win 8-6 at second doubles, and Berger followed with a 6-1, 6-1 win at fourth singles…. Against Colby in March, won decisively at fourth singles.

Bates: Dean’s list student.

High School: Honor roll student… Earned varsity letters in both tennis and golf at Concord High…Captain of the tennis team.
