Men’s cross country settles for 4th place at NESCACs

The No. 4 nationally ranked Bates men’s cross country team produced another strong performance but suffered its first disappointment of the season nonetheless, finishing fourth out of 11 teams at the NESCAC Championships on Saturday at Bowdoin. It is the first meet this season in which Bates hasn’t finished in first place.

No. 4 men’s XC nips No. 11 Bowdoin for state title

Another chapter in the rich rivalry between Bates’ and Bowdoin’s men’s distance runners unfolded Saturday in the State of Maine Cross Country Championships, with No. 4 nationally ranked Bates edging No. 11 Bowdoin by a single point, 29-30, for its second state title in a row.

No. 5 men’s cross country sweeps RPI Invitational

The No. 5 nationally ranked Bates men’s cross country team remained undefeated this season and scored a perfect 15 points in dominating the RPI Invitational on Saturday, claiming first place among 16 teams.
