Matt Sudduth graduated from Columbia Business School. He and Anne (Rouse) live on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Since moving to New York City six years ago, he gave up bike and ski racing and concentrates on marathon running…. Andrew Wirth is working on an M.B.A. at the Terry School of Business at Georgia…. At a gathering last October in Tokyo at the home of Jason and Rachel Tzitzura Freedman, several Batesies joined Kim Gustafson, coordinator of international recruitment for admissions: Taro Hagiwara ’98, who works for Mitsui & Co., Ltd.; Junko Yuta Shiraishi ’73; teacher Jonas Ginsburg ’97 and his wife, Yumiko Mizushima’00, a former Hirasawa scholar who works for Fuju Xerox; Kimochi Eguchi ’97, working at Digital Convenience Inc. Another former Hirasawa scholar, Kyoko Uchida, now a junior at Keio Univ., spent an afternoon in Yokahama with Kim. Kyoko and Ikuro Suzuki ’87 helped Kim represent Bates at the Institute of International Education Univ. fair in Tokyo. Going on to Singapore, Kim hosted a dinner with Mark Doctoroff ’94 and a friend and Christopher “Kit” Wilson and wife Joanne Tsao. Mark and Chris met for the first time and volunteered to help recruit students there. Chris is a lawyer with Simpson, Thacher & Bartlett. Mark is with Chase Manhattan Bank as an associate in global financial services.
