Next Reunion in 2006. Got news? Tap out a note to magazine@bates.edu!  Living north of Tokyo, David Carlson has been teaching English with the JETS program for the past year. He spent an afternoon with Kim Gustafson, coordinator of foreign student recruitment for Bates when she was in Japan, and volunteered to help recruit students for Bates…. In Southern California, Catherine Fobi is exploring the acting field. She worked as a monologue coach for a couple of months and has begun acting classes. In addition, she is researching photographers for headshots…. Lindy Forrester left the Lesley Ellis preschool to work with older children. She’s now at Red Oak, Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center, as a head tutor for 17 bilingual third graders. “I am also heading the creation of an art/literary magazine of the children’s work, and taking photographs for the program’s brochure. Next year, I will attend an art history graduate program at Tufts, specializing in the representation of women in religious art.”… In New York City Ayako Harvie is an assistant editor for Random House.
