Mark Erelli’s new album, The Memorial Hall Recordings, recorded in Monson, Mass., is an enhanced CD: Put it in your computer and view a six-minute clip of film footage from the recording sessions. An hour-long documentary on the making of the album was scheduled for May airing on a PBS station in western Massachusetts. “Hopefully, it will be picked up by other PBS stations nationally,” Mark says. “For those who prefer the Cliff Notes to the real story, this project can be condensed as follows: 14 songs, 12 songwriters, six musicians, three and a half days, one Civil War Memorial Hall, and no overdubs.” For those who want the full story, check out www.markerelli.com…. Tyler Fish works for Outward Bound in Ely, Minn., where he leads dog-sledding expeditions. He was headed up to Hudson Bay for an extended trip.
