Bob and Vel Adams Evans toured Tuscany, and Vel says, “I know that if I had been scratched, I would have bled good olive oil and red wine.”… Stella Clifford Gray dreamed of retiring to Maine and now she has moved back to her beloved Boothbay. She volunteers at a local thrift shop and a used bookstore…. Bob Davenport stays busy with military activities as well as trains and is now involved with the USO as a volunteer…. Dick Dearborn says Bates isn’t the same Spartan college we attended 60 years ago! They stopped there in July and visited the library, and marveled at Pettengill Hall and the art museum…. Noah Edminster has moved from Bangor to Orange, Mass…. Nancy Field Ahlquist says she hasn’t been anywhere, done anything or seen anyone exciting, but she hasn’t broken anything for a change!… Helen Greenleaf Cook and her husband and two sons spend a lot of time in Crete. This past summer Helen hosted two students from the Interlachen School — one from China and one from Uzbekistan…. Peg Hubbard Rand and Al have been traveling. Last year, they were in Holland at tulip time and also took an Elderhostel trip to the Panama Canal. They planned fall trips to London, Italy, Cuba, and the Copper Canyon…. Tom Knowles has moved from Bayonet Point, Fla., to Hudson, Fla…. Dick Lovelace and Peg returned to England for the fourth time with their two daughters doing the driving…. Beth Potter Gardner is doing extremely well after having both knees replaced last November…. Al Topham says it’s been tough without Jeanne but he has great kids who have helped him so much. He does a lot of competitive skeet shooting and hopes to hit the 200,000 target milestone this year.
