Several students are hired to work as Center assistants. Their responsibilities include answering questions and providing information about the resources of the Center to interested students, staff, and faculty. Center assistants also undertake projects such as writing for the Culturaltimes, coordinating exhibits and displays, conducting research that enables the Center to keep abreast of campus needs, booking speakers, or planning workshops. In addition to the general upkeep of the house, the assistants also provide the director of multicultural affairs with administrative support. The Center assistants are supervised by the director. For more information on becoming a Center assistant, please see the Student Employment Office or the director of multicultural affairs.
