The Mount David Society takes its name from the rocky landmark that's a short hike from campus. The summit, featuring views of Lewiston-Auburn and the countryside, has hosted everything from Bates sports celebrations to a performance of Macbeth by the Robinson Players.
The Mount David Society recognizes Bates Fund donors who put the College first in their annual philanthropy. These individuals lead the way in supporting Bates by making significant, unrestricted current-use gifts each year — gifts that underpin the College's ability to sustain excellence.
