Lecture by Robert O’Meally, the Zora Neale Professor of English and Comparative Literature, and Founder and former Director of the Center for Jazz Studies at Columbia University.
O’Meally is an authority on Ralph Ellison and African-American literature, and is author or editor of a number of books including the highly regarded biography, Lady Day: The Many Faces of Billie Holiday (1991). He is founder and former Director of the Center for Jazz Studies at Columbia University.
