Thomas Snow

Pianist, arranger, composer, and educator Thomas Snow is one of New England’s most active and sought-after musicians. A graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music (M.M. 2005) and the Berklee College of Music (B.M. 1991), Tom has played with many jazz luminaries including Dave Holland, Ken Peplowski, Greg Abate, Bruce Gertz, Larry Coryell, Nick Brignola, Phil Wilson, Mike Turk, Gray Sargent, John Lockwood, Dick Johnson, Herb Pomeroy and Les DeMerle.  In the pop world, Tom has played and recorded with many artists including The Motor Booty Affair, bluesman Troy Turner, celebrated singer/songwriter Gene McDaniels, and folk legend Jonathan Edwards.  He appears as a studio musician on dozens of recordings and also has four CDs of his own: “Northern Standard Time” (1997), “Christmas at Mast Cove” (2001), “Some Other Time” (2007), and “Friends” (2013).  In addition to coaching the Bates Jazz Band and Bates Jazz Combo, Tom also teaches courses in theory, composition, and improvisation.
