Story teller to appear at Bates
Master story teller John McDonald will offer an evening of traditional Maine humor at 7 p.m. Thursday, in Room 104 of the Olin Arts Center, 75 Russell St. Children are especially welcome, and the public is invited to attend free of charge.
McDonald performs throughout the country and is the founder of the Maine Storytellers Festival, held annually in Rockport. His appearance at Bates is part of the 1997 Speech & Debate Institute. Students from eight different states are studying at Bates this summer, the institute’s twenty-fourth year.
