The Bates Dance Festival presents 'East Meets West'
The Bates Dance Festival presents East Meets West at 8 p.m. Aug. 5, in the Olin Arts Center Concert Hall, 75 Russell St. Admission is $5. The concert is an informal performance highlighting the works of three international visiting artists from Asia: Kota Yamazaki, Japan; Sukarji, Indonesia; and Wen Hui of China. The work will also feature a piece by gifted contact improvisor Nancy Stark Smith. Post-performance discussion with the artists immediately following the concert.
