Wake the Neighbors featured at contradance
Wake the Neighbors, a Lewiston-based contradance quartet, will perform with caller John McIntire from 8:30 p.m. to midnight Friday, Sept. 18, in Chase Hall Lounge. The contradance requires no fixed partner and is sponsored by the Freewill Folk Society. General admission is $4 and $2 for students and seniors. Soft-soled shoes are recommended.
Wake the Neighbors, specializing in contemporary and traditional Irish, Scottish, French-Canadian and New England dance music, features Ed Howe on fiddle, John Cote on mandolin, guitar and feet, Anthony Shostak on banjo, bodhran and didjeridoo, and Lissa Schneckenburger on fiddle.
