Radio Gang opens Midsummer Lakeside Concert Series

The Radio Gang, a Maine-based quartet playing classic country music, opens the 2007 Bates College Midsummer Lakeside Concert Series with a performance Thursday, July 12, in the Florence Keigwin Amphitheater at the college’s Lake Andrews.

MPBN to broadcast college, music society ensembles in Brahms' Requiem

In March, two Bates musical ensembles joined two community ensembles in a first-of-its-kind performance of Johannes Brahms’ masterful A German Requiem. At 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, the stations of MPBN Radio will broadcast the concert on the MaineStage program.

Campus construction update: Week of July 2

The new student housing should be ready for occupancy in August, right on schedule, said Suzanne Grant, clerk of the works for the project. But there’s still a ways to go before students can start hanging their whiteboards and Gene Pitney posters.
