Dow Jones Financial Adviser profiles wealth-management guru Karl Mills '82
The Dow Jones blog Financial Adviser dubs Karl Mills ’82 the “Artful Contrarian” for the independent investment spirit of his wealth management firm, Jurika, Mills & Keifer. “We wait for a good company to get taken out to the woodshed irrationally,” says Mills, the firm’s president and a Bates Trustee. He explains that asset allocation strategies today are sometimes based on bygone assumptions. “You have to be a dynamic allocator of a client’s capital, both in reaction to and in anticipation of changing events,” says Mills, whose firm manages the Counterpoint Select Fund. “We’re in a whole new world.” View blog post from the Financial Adviser, July 2, 2010.
