Summer Newsletter 2011: Information and Library Services

Art showcase

Look for some changes in the location of computing services in the fall. The Language Resource Center has relocated from Hathorn Hall 208 to its new home in the renovated Roger Williams Hall, Room 105. The center is equipped with new iMacs and will be available for general use when it is not otherwise reserved.

Also freshly renovated, Hedge Hall features a new Windows-based computer classroom, Room G18. The room will be available for general use when not in use for classes. And the Imaging and Computing Center computer classroom, Coram 106, now features Windows 7.

Printing capacity in Ladd Library has been expanded. Students will find four new high-speed black and white laser printers and one new high-speed color laser printer next to the Help Desk on the first floor. We’re also introducing a new way to manage print jobs among the printers so we can save you time and reduce congestion. Also in the library, the instruction room has been renovated to provide a more flexible teaching and learning space with movable tables, fewer hardwired computers and more room for laptops (and their users).
