Summer Newsletter 2011: Harward Center For Community Partnerships
The Harward Center works year-round to weave the resources and concerns of the community into the educational experiences of students at Bates. We offer paid and unpaid leadership opportunities for students, such as community work-study positions, the Student Volunteer Fellows program and the Bonner Leader Program, as well as grant money to support student projects in the community year-round.
This fall, we welcome Sarah Vasquez to our team of eight staff members. Sarah will serve as our AmeriCorps VISTA and will work on college aspirations programming through the Lewiston Public Library and Hillview Housing Development.
The Harward Center welcomes new and returning students, faculty and staff members to visit us at 161 Wood St. or to go to our website to learn about our programs. Watch for email announcements about many exciting opportunities throughout the school year!
