Summer Newsletter 2011: Registrar and Academic Systems

We’re excited to report that new advances in technology are allowing colleges and universities to offer students the service of sending official transcripts electronically via secure PDFs. Bates is working to bring this service to you. You’ll hear more about it when this service begins this fall.

The Class of 2011 was the first to graduate under the new general education requirements. We remind students that a general education evaluation is available to you and your adviser at your convenience in the Garnet Gateway (under the Student Records menu), and that we’re available for questions relating to graduation and completing your requirements.

We’d also like to remind students that the registration adjustment period (add/drop) opens at 7 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6. Students may add and drop as space allows through Sept. 13 and, with instructor permission, until the last day to add, Sept. 20.
