Slide Show: Parents and Family Weekend 2013
Parents and Family Weekend 2013 featured a wide range of activities and opportunities that allowed parents and families to experience Bates through the eyes of their students.
The myriad events of the program included many activities that make up a typical Bates weekend, including athletic contests and performances. The weekend also featured special events, such as a faculty symposium on “Transformative Teaching and Scholarship,” a student research symposium, and a 20-16 NESCAC football victory over Tufts on Saturday, Sept. 28, at Garcelon Field, before a crowd of nearly 3,000 spectators. The Annual Parents and Family Weekend Harvest Dinner and a Wine Tasting for Parents were among the many events that enhanced the weekend, the heart of offered students and families time spent together.
