Slide Show: Homecoming 2013

Homecoming Weekend 2013 was an opportunity to enjoy the beauty of autumn in Maine, reconnect with friends and faculty, cheer on Bates athletes and participate in cultural and intellectual programming.

The myriad events of the program included many activities that make up a typical Bates weekend, including athletic contests and performances. The weekend also featured special events, such as an Alumni Council and student reception, a BOLD and senior class barbeque, and a 17-10 NESCAC football victory over rival Bowdoin on Saturday, Nov.2 , at Garcelon Field, with a special ceremony for seniors and their parents. Art Gallery talks presented by Museum Director Dan Mills and Education Curator Anthony Shostak, “Bates Arts in Motion,” an Arts Collaborative-sponsored series of performances and exhibits by Bates students, and an Alumni Recognition Reception were among the many Homecoming events that enhanced the weekend.
