Jazz Band, Steel Pan Orchestra, Arc Iris, classical guitarist take turns in spotlight

During just a few December days, Bates College’s Olin Arts Center is home to music including jazz, steel pan, orchestral pop and — from the hands of acclaimed Swedish musician Göran Söllscher — classical guitar.

Both in 7 p.m. concerts, the Bates Jazz Band performs on Wednesday, Dec. 4, and the Bates Steel Pan Orchestra on Thursday, Dec. 5.

The Olin Arts Alive series presents an orchestral pop concert by Arc Iris, led by Jocie Adams, former core member of The Low Anthem, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7. Learn more.
