6:30pm | Dom Flemons: Known from his work with the Carolina Chocolate Drops, Flemons draws deeply from America’s rich folk tradition — ragtime, early blues, Southern folk, spiritual, string and jug band music — and revives it for today’s audiences. The Concerts on the Quad are family-friendly outdoor concerts. Bring a picnic and folding chairs or blankets. Rain site: Peter J. Gomes Chapel. FMI 207-753-6953.

6:30pm | Buckwheat Zydeco: The premiere artist in zydeco music, this accordionist-keyboardist has brought his energetic blend of blues and Creole to audiences far from its birthplace in Lafayette, La. NOTE: Because of inclement weather predicted for showtime, this  Concert on the Quad has been moved indoors.

6:30pm | Stephanie Fogg Band: Maine-based singer Fogg grew up listening to jazz and soul artists like Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding and Etta James. A Concert on the Quad (see July 16).

Points of View: New and Recent Photographs by Jay Gould, Gary Green, David Maisel and Shoshannah White. Part of the statewide Maine Photo Project, Points of View presents work by four photographers who explore relationships between humanity and nature through Maine’s landscape.

The Painter of Maine: Photographs of Marsden Hartley. Images depicting one of Maine’s best-loved artists, drawn from the museum’s founding Marsden Hartley Memorial Collection.

June 12–March 26, 2016
Maine Collected: Contemporary Selections from the Permanent Collection. Exhibiting artists include such major Maine figures as Amy Stacy Curtis, Paul Heroux, Charlie Hewitt, Eric Hopkins, Dahlov Ipcar, Alex Katz, William Manning, Rose Marasco, Joseph Nicoletti and Abby Shahn.
