Student storytellers use video to portray Bates

For the last several months, a cadre of students including Josh Ajamu ’13 of Breinigsville, Pa., and Matt Baker-White ’13 of Williamstown, Mass., have created video narratives about Bates.

With the support of the college’s Digital Media Studios and the Bates Communications Office, the threesome pitched stories, interviewed participants, recorded sound, and shot candid clips.

Materials in hand, these “backpack journalists” edited their digital assets into final pieces that covered a range of stories, including the campus Emergency Medical Services, a local college aspirations program and President-elect Clayton Spencer’s first full day visiting campus.

See the Bates community through their eyes. Watch their videos.
