The Bates College Noonday Concert series continues its winter season with a selection of programs throughout the month of March. The free concerts, open to the public, will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30 to 1 p.m. at the college’s Olin Arts Center Concert Hall, 75 Russell St.

Strangefolk, a musical ensemble that blends vocal harmony, acoustic guitar and innovative songwriting, will perform in a Bates College concert appropriate for all ages at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, in the Clifton Daggett Gray Athletic Building, 130 Central Ave. Tickets are $12 and available at all Bull Moose Record locations in Maine and Portsmouth, N.H. Tickets will be available at the door if the concert is not sold out in advance.

The Bates College Orchestra, under the direction of William Matthews, the Alice Swanson Esty Professor of Music, will perform a concert at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11, in the Olin Arts Center Concert Hall, 75 Russell St. The public is invited to attend free of charge.
