The Maine College Republicans will host the Leadership Institute’s flagship program, the Youth Leadership School, at Bates College on Saturday and Sunday, March 12 and 13, in the Edmund S. Muskie Archives, 70 Campus Ave.

The Bates community is invited to the Frye Street Union lounge 8:45 p.m. Tuesday to watch President George W. Bush deliver his State of the Union Address and follow it with an informal discussion led by Professor of History Steve Hochstadt.

Education experts on both sides of the school-choice issue debate the question in an event organized by the Bates College Republicans at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, in the Muskie Archives, 70 Campus Avenue. The panel discussion — titled “School Choice: The Right Choice for Maine?” — is open to the public at no charge.
