ACLU field organizer to offer issues briefing and skills-training

Becky Dinwoodie, a national field organizer of the American Civil Liberties Union, will present “Defending Our Liberties,” an issues briefing and skills-training presentation at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, in Room 243 of the Olin Arts Center Concert Hall. Author and scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. and New York City businessman James G. Wallach have been appointed to the Bates College Board of Trustees, according to Bates President Donald W. Harward.
