Muskie Archives on the Bates College campus. The public is invited to attend free of charge.

Taylor received a Pulitzer Prize nomination for his book, In Search of the Racial Frontier: African Americans in the American West, 1528-1990. A reception and book signing will follow his talk, sponsored by the Bates College Office of Affirmative Action, the American cultural studies and African American studies programs, and the history department.
