Morris will discuss her work in a lecture, followed by an opening reception, at 7 p.m. Jan. 10 in the museum, located in the Olin Arts Center. The public is invited to attend free of charge.

From Jan. 10 through March 20, the lower gallery of the museum will exhibit Making Japanese Color Woodcuts, featuring prints from the museum’s permanent collection donated by Weston and Mary Naef. The lower gallery will also display Contemporary Women Printmakers, a show curated by Susannah C. Shaw ’96.

The Bates College Museum of Art is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m. Admission is free.
