Redpath “possesses a mezzo-soprano that most classically trained art singers might envy. There is no one who interprets the Scottish tradition more beautifully or with more affection,” according to The New York Times. According to The Boston Globe, Redpath performs the “songs of Robert Burns with a tenderness and skill no living singer can match.”

Redpath is well known to millions of Americans as a radio personality through her appearances on Robert J. Lurtsema’s National Public Radio program, Morning Pro Musica, and Garrison Keillor’s Prarie Home Companion. Her more than two dozen recordings range in scope from the songs of Robert Burns to the 20th-century classic “Song of the Seals” and the country-western favorite “Sonny’s Dream.”
