Maine Gay Men's Chorus presents "Ding!"

The Maine Gay Men’s Chorus, conducted by Edward Reichert, will present Ding! an evening of holiday music to benefit the AIDS Coalition of Lewiston-Auburn on Friday, Dec. 4, at 8 p.m. in the Bates College Chapel. In advance, tickets are $10 for general admission and $7 for students and seniors. At the door, tickets are $12 for general admission and $9 for students and seniors.

In the Lewiston-Auburn area, tickets may be purchased at Bookland, Bull Moose Music, The Connexion, Hair Graphix, Mega Convenience Store, Sportsman Athletic Club, Taboo Hair Design and the AIDS Coalition of Lewiston-Auburn. The Maine Gay Men’s Chorus will present Christmas can be a DRAG! an evening holiday music to benefit the AIDS Coalition of Lewiston-Auburn, at 8 p.m. Dec. 5 in the Bates College Chapel. Conducted by Edward Reichert and accompanied by David Sherman, the Maine Gay Men’s Chorus will perform traditional favorites, including “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and “White Christmas” as well as non-traditional, whimsical songs such as “I’m Wishing You a Drag Queen Christmas” and “Coming Out on Christmas.”

Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. In the Lewiston-Auburn area, tickets may be purchased at Axis Natural Foods, Bull Moose Music, Connexion, L/A Arts, Mega Convenience Store, Simones’ Hot Dog Stand and Sportsman Athletic Club. Tickets are also available at the A-1 Diner in Gardiner and Strawberries Records stores in Auburn, Brunswick and Waterville. Maine Gay Men's Chorus to appear

The Maine Gay Men’s Chorus will perform a concert, “Love Don’t Need A Reason,” at Bates College on March 17 at 3 p.m. in the Olin Arts Center Concert Hall. The public is invited to attend free of charge.

In its fourth season, the 45-member chorus, conducted by Bruce Fithian, of Portland, will perform a collection of love songs including the world premiere of “The Inner Room of the Soul” by Daniel Pinkham, “one of New England’s greatest living composers,” according to Marion Anderson, a chorus member and professor of music at Bates.
