Summer Scholars Program gives first-years solid start in math, science

The goal of the Bates Summer Scholars Program is to build a community of science scholars from among a diverse group of first-years, including first-generation college students and students from groups underrepresented in the sciences. It introduces these students to college-level academics and helps them develop time-management, research and study skills.
