Bates College presents Michael Miclon, a well-known Maine comedian and new vaudevillian, with a talk about the state's creative economy at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 25, in the Edmund S. Muskie Archives, Campus Avenue.
Androscoggin Valley Community Orchestra to perform family concert

The Androscoggin Valley Community Orchestra (AVCO) and the Lewiston-Auburn Youth Orchestra (LAYO) will present a family concert with guest artists Michael Miclon and Sophie Prose at 2 p.m., Nov. 22, in the Olin Arts Center Concert Hall, 75 Russell St. Admission will be $5. Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling Smart Start at 207-783-4422 during daytime hours.
