Lord’s studies at Bates fostered an interest in neuropsychology and behavioral endocrinology. She wrote her undergraduate thesis on the neuropsychology of the genetic disorder Turner Syndrome. Since then, she has worked with many children with developmental disorders and various cognitive challenges. She is currently researching the neuropsychological and biological aspects of autism.
