One-man play at Bates College recreates Maine school for orchestral conductors

Actor and musician David Katz performs “Muse of Fire,” his one-man play about the art of conducting, at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, in the Olin Arts Center Concert Hall at Bates College.

Macomber and Glazer perform at Bates

Violinist Curtis Macomber joins pianist Frank Glazer in a performance of Brahms’ “Three Sonatas for Violin and Piano” Nov. 1 at the Bates College Olin Arts Center Concert Hall. The public is invited to attend free of charge.

Noonday concerts continue

The Bates College Noonday Concert series continues its winter season with a selection of programs throughout the month of January. The free concerts, open to the public, will be held from l2:30 to l p.m. on Tuesdays at the college’s Olin Arts Concert Hall, located on Russell Street in Lewiston.
