Muskie Archives. Russell&#8217;s talk is part of the Religion, Science and Public Policy Lecture Series at Bates. The public is invited to attend free of charge.</p>
<p><span id="more-24159"></span>Trained as a scientist and theologian with a doctorate in physics from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a master&#8217;s from the Pacific School of Religion, Russell is an ordained minister of the United Church of Christ. He has published numerous scholarly essays as well as edited a variety of books on the connection between physics and divinity.</p>
<p>Russell also has been featured in many television, radio and newspaper stories, including the Los Angeles Times, Omni Magazine and Smithsonian World.</p>
