Bates forum to examine U.S. role in Iraq

Four members of the Bates College faculty will lead a forum exploring the U.S. war with Iraq and relations between the two countries at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, in Skelton Lounge, Chase Hall, Campus Avenue.

Bates professors receive a Templeton Grant

John Smedley, associate professor of physics, and Thomas Tracy, professor of religion, have been awarded a $10,000 grant by the John Templeton Foundation for their course “Caring for Creation.”
