Sam Evans-Brown

2009: Making his first trip to NCAAs after an exceptional senior season in which he ranked 11th on the EISA circuit…. Finished fifth in both the Free and Classical Technique races at the Bates Carnival at Black Mountain…. Earned his second NESCAC Winter All-Academic Team honors.

2008: Checked in at eighth place in a time of 41:26.3 at the 15K Classic Technique Race at the Middlebury College Winter Carnival and EISA Championships…. Evans-Brown finished in 24:09.7 good for 15th place at the 10K Freestyle race at Williams…. Placed 14th with a time of 1:02.52.2 at the 20K Mass Start Classic race at the Dartmouth Winter Carnival…. Led Bates with a 12th-place finish out of 64 skiers in the Men’s 10K Classic at the UVM Carnival…. Finished fourth place out of the field of 41 and covering the 15K course in 39:30.7 at the Broomhall Cup….  Led the way for the Bobcats in 15th place out of 87 competitors, with a time of 56:10.6 at the St. Lawrence Carnival…. Led the men’s team in the 10K Classic in seventh place out of 94 competitors overall, finishing in 26:49.1 at the Bates Carnival in January.

2007: Named a 2007 All-Academic All-American, for athletes with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher in the fall semester who competed in the regional championships….  Placed 12th out of 64, leading the Bates men’s Nordic ski team to a fourth-place showing in the Men’s 20K Classic race at the Middlebury Winter Carnival.
