Purposeful Work Deadline Approaches!

Maximize your summer! Apply for a paid Purposeful Work summer internship by Sunday 3/1and explore potential career paths, for example:

  • Global Health Intern with Global Health Corps (New York, NY).  Help run GHC’s fellowship for emerging leaders in global health, by contributing to development, communications, operations, or programming. Global Health Corps aims to mobilize a global community of emerging leaders to build the movement for health equity.
  • Activities Coordinator Internship with Hillview Community Resource Center (Lewiston, ME). Create daily summer programming for a diverse youth population, including arts, educational, cooking, diversity and literacy, sports, and craft activities.
  • Business Development Intern with Liquid (Portland, ME). Identify qualified mobile apps for Liquid’s target demographics and assist business development and inside sales teams on account development projects. Liquid is a leading marketing platform and one of the top five digital game publishers in the nation. This is one of four internships available at this fast-paced innovative company.
  • Summer Intern with Maine Migrant Health Program (Augusta, ME). Support field staff in Washington and Aroostook Counties, help develop health education materials, and contribute to strategic planning. Maine Migrant Health Program (MMHP) is a unique safety net provider in Maine, providing mobile medical care to farmworkers throughout the State of Maine.

If you have not visited the Center for Purposeful Work yet for resume and cover letter feedback, note that the BCDC has extended walk-in hours from 9:00-12:00 and 1:00-4:00 Monday 2/23-Friday 2/27. In order to be eligible to apply for $4,000 internship funding and to apply to any of the Purposeful Work internships in Handshake (such as these), you must complete 5 valuable and simple steps by Sunday, March 1.
