OIE Fall Reception

015Wednesday, September 11, 2013

The OIE Fall Reception was an opportunity for the Bates community to come together and build connections through interactive mingling between faculty, staff, and students.

We invited the college to the Benjamin E. Mays Center for an hour of casual conversation around fun ice breaker topics for the purpose of creating dialogue that allowed faculty and staff to interact with students on a more personal, informal level.

These conversation will hopefully lead to more substantive interactions and relationship building across the board, breaking down the barriers which can often prevent students from engaging across the table with faculty and staff when they actually need help.
