  • September 6, 7:00 am: Fall 2011 registration adjustment period (add/drop) opens for all students
  • September 7, 8:00 am: Classes begin, Fall 2011 semester
  • September 20: Last day for Fall 2011 registration adjustments (adds)
  • September 30: Proposals for new Winter 2012 courses due from newly hired faculty
  • October 15: Short Term 2012 new course proposals due
  • October 31: Short Term 2012 grid proposals due from department/program chairs
  • November 4: Last day for withdrawal from Fall 2011 semester courses (drops)
  • November 5 – 11: Registration for Winter 2012 semester
  • November 15: Draft Short Term 2012 schedule available for faculty review; Proposals for new Fall 2012 FYSs due
  • November 18: Petitions due to faculty for Winter 2012 semester courses
  • December 2: Petitions due from faculty for Winter 2012 semester courses; Corrections to the draft Short Term 2012 schedule due
  • December 5, 7:00 am: Winter 2012 registration adjustment period (add/drop) opens for all students
  • December 9: Short Term 2012 schedule posted on the web
  • December 9, 4:00 pm: Classes end, Fall 2011 semester
  • December 10 – 27: Course evaluation
  • December 13, 8:00 am: Final Examinations begin
  • December 17, 12:30 pm: Final Examinations end
  • December 27: Fall 2011 Final Grades due from faculty
  • December 28: Fall 2011 Final Grades available for student viewing on Garnet Gateway
  • January 4: Grids available in Garnet Gateway for Fall 2012, Winter 2013, and Short Term 2013
  • January 9, 8:00 am: Classes begin, Winter 2012 semester
  • January 15: Proposals for new Fall 2012 and Winter 2013 courses due from returning faculty; 2012 – 2013 Catalog matter sent to department/program
  • chairs and concentration coordinators for review
  • January 16: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day – workshops take the place of classes.
  • January 20: Last day for Winter 2012 registration adjustments (adds)
  • January 31: Fall 2012, Winter 2013, and Short Term 2013 grid proposals due from department/program chairs
  • February 3: Deadline for students to confirm off-campus study (including all study abroad) for AY 12 – 13
  • February 4 – 10: Registration for Short Term 2012 off-campus and alternate-date courses
  • February 15: Draft Fall 2012 and Winter 2013 schedules available for faculty review
  • February 29: Corrections to the draft Fall 2012 and Winter 2013 schedules due
  • March 2: Fall 2012 and Winter 2013 schedule posted on the web
  • March 2: Last day for withdrawal from Winter 2012 semester courses (drops)
  • March 10 – 16: Registration for on-campus Short Term 2012 courses and Fall 2012 semester
  • March 15: 2012 – 2013 Catalog revisions due from department/program chairs and concentration coordinators
  • March 23: Petitions due to faculty for Fall 2012 semester courses
  • March 30: Student petitions due from faculty for Fall 2012 semester courses; Mount David Summit
  • April 2, 7:00 am: Short Term 2012 and Fall 2012 registration adjustment (add/drop) opens
  • April 6, 4:00 pm: Classes end, Winter 2012 semester
  • April 7 – 24: Course evaluation
  • April 10, 8:00 am: Final Examinations begin

  • May 23: Last possible due date for Winter 2012 deferred grades for seniors
  • May 25, 12:00 pm: Deadline to notify Registrar’s office of any senior failing a Short Term 2012 course
  • May 25, 4:00 pm: Classes end, Short Term 2012
  • May 27: Commencement – class of 2012
  • June 5: Short Term 2012 Final Grades due from faculty
