2009: Rower on the second varsity eight, which took the bronze medal in the New England Championships grand final behind Williams in first and Holy Cross in second, and tied a school record set in 2007 with a time of 7:17.702…. The second varsity eight also came in third in the Petite Final of the Division III NCAA Championships with a time of 6:53.73, impressively close behind the No. 1 boats of Smith (6:47.12) and St. Lawrence (6:51.75), and more than three seconds and half a boat length ahead of rival Trinity II (6:57.17). The Bates second boat’s performance far outdid last year’s entry, when it placed second in the Third Final.
2008: Rower on the First Varsity Women’s boat, which took third place in the New England Championships grand final in early May (6:53.348) and third place, the following weekend, at the ECACs grand final, finishing in 6:57.118 on the 2,000-meter course…. The First Varsity crew also won the petite finals at the NCAA Women’s Rowing Championship in late May (7:07.47), helping their team to an overall fifth-place finish in the Division III of the NCAAs.
