High School: Masino was a four-year pitcher and first baseman on the varsity softball team, a two-year forward on the varsity basketball team, and a one-year runner on the varsity cross-country team. Masino was selected as a team captain, 1st Team All-Prep member, 1st Team All-Conference member, and Essex County Player of the Year. As a member of the softball team, Masino was a three-time state champion, a two-time county champion, and a three-time conference champion. Masino was featured in The Star Ledger, The Leader, and The Observer.
