Assistant Director of Off-Campus Study Programs
Students interested in studying off-campus meet with David Das or Tina Mangieri,  Associate Dean.

David first worked at Bates in the admission office, from 1987 until 1989. He joined the Off-Campus Study office in 1998. In between, he taught history at Bates, Colby College, and the Maine College of Art. He has also served as the Director of Religious Education at the Auburn Unitarian-Universalist Church. He earned a bachelor’s degree in 1976 from Bowdoin College, a master’s degree in Russian and east European studies from the University of Washington in 1980, and a doctorate in history in 1991, also from Washington.
