About

The Bates College Student Employment Office is a student-managed division of the Human Resources Department.

On-campus student employment provides Bates students with an opportunity to enrich their education outside of the classroom. Student employment allows students to make money, gain experience, and build their resume. We encourage all students to browse our website and learn more about student employment at Bates.

Our primary function is to provide students with a chance to pursue learning opportunities outside of the classroom by obtaining a part-time job on or off campus. Jobs not only serve as a source of income, they also offer the chance for students to develop workplace skills and resume-building qualities that can be advantageous for both the present and the future.

We act as a resource for both students and employers, helping employers post available postions and encouraging students to seriously consider employment while attending Bates.
