Summary, Scope, and Responsibilities

The Student Assistant will assist the AIA Coordinator with general office duties. The student will manage a series of projects to support the training and maintenance of the Alumni in Admission network. This student must be comfortable on the phone, exhibit exceptional writing and communication skills and have the ability to work well independently. Please Note: A high degree of confidentiality is expected with this position.

Qualifications, Requirements, and Responsibilities


This student should have office experience and must have excellent typing and Excel skills. Applicants who have completed at least one year at Bates are preferred.


Reports to Margaret Galligan-Schmoll. Also, will work closely with the AIA Coordinator, AIA Specialist, and other office personnel.


The AIA will work in an office setting, and may be expected to run on-campus errands occasionally. He or she will frequently use basic office technology as well.
