Feed, water, and clean animal room/cages according to established schedules.  Duties are subject to variation and change.

Qualifications, Requirements, and Responsibilities


REQUIRED: Experience: Applicants must have some experience with animals, either personally, in research or in laboratory settings. Health: A medical questionnaire is required when hired. Applicants must be up to date on immunizations. DESIRED: Experience with research animals or a laboratory setting is extremely helpful.


Applicants need to be able to work independently and also be able to work well with co-workers and research students.


Physical Requirements: The Animal Care Worker must be able to lift 50 lbs. There will also be a required health questionnaire.
